Sites with Member Areas
If you're building a secure area for clients, partners or team members, Zenario has a system built in. It allows you to build a members' area inexpensively, so that your users can log in securely and see data that's especially for them.
There is user sign-up, email verification, choice of approval process, and tools for users to recover a lost password, view and edit their details.
It has more advanced features, with tools for granular access using Groups.
While the most simple extranet allows all valid users to access all private material, with Groups it is possible to segregate who-can-see-what.
Beyond this, Zenario supports Roles (requires Enterprise). Users can be linked with physical locations, so that they can access information related with their own location. Roles can also allow local managers to enlist further users to their location.
While Zenario Base has a simple form handling system, Zenario Pro and the Users Module add a lot more features.
When used in the context of an extranet site, it's possible to have a multi-step form that asks for users to log in, or create an account, while filling in a form.
Users can be granted a temporary membership of a site, such that they are granted access for a period of time.
For example, a user can be granted an annual membership, whether by paying (online or via a separate system).
The membership must be renewed at the end of the year, with reminders by email and appropriate handling for users who don't renew.
This is ideal for societies, companies with networks of distributors, and other types of membership organisation to handle a sophisticated membership system.
Sites that capture visitor data must follow GDPR privacy legislation, whether in Europe or other jurisdiction.
Zenario manages a customisable privacy policy page, and ensures it is linked from cookie messages and sign-up forms.
When capturing data, it records consents for each visitor, in a central log.
Various kinds of data can be captured: form responses; sent emails; extranet sign-ins; cookie consents.
Each type of private data has an expiry date, so that data is auto-deleted after a number of months or years, or kept indefinitely.
